Play it smart: Don’t use 12 a.m./12 p.m.

\nQuick, is Grammar12 a.m. noontide or midnight? What nearly 12 p.m., is that midnight or noon? \n\n\nDont write out the answer? Dont feel stupid, most readers wont either. \n\nAnd thats a good reason to not use either term. Doing so is akin to including words from a foreign language that your readers wouldnt know. \n\nInstead, use noon or midnight. \n\nIncidentally, 12 a.m. is midnight, and 12 p.m. is noon.\n\n sine qua non an editor?
